Hours:
Sunday: 7:30am-2:30pm
Monday: None
Tuesday: TBD (10am-1pm during event planning, as needed)
Wednesday: 10am-1pm (Office Hours)
Thursday: 5:30pm-8:30pm (on Rooted seasons and Church on Thursday nights)
Friday: None
Saturday: None
Level: 10-15 hours per week
Status: Part-Time ($18 per hour)

General Functions:
The Kids Ministry Coordinator (KMC) role will focus on the partnership and support of building momentum in the larger EastLake Kids program by executing event details and tasks as assigned. Working closely with the Kids Pastor, the KMC will support the team and mission of the church by assisting the Kids Ministry Pastor in implementing the fun and energy into the rhythm of the ministry. The KMC will help execute plans for the larger EastLake Kids calendar, extra events, and momentum builders by carrying out instructions given by the Kid’s Ministry Pastor. These tasks will include but are not limited to contacting and working with vendors, having ownership in executing and completing tasks as assigned to produce fun and engaging events, and other Kids ministry experiences as assigned. A large focus of the KMC will be planning, prepping, and working alongside an events volunteer team. In addition, the KMC will offer leadership and organizational/administrative support where the Kid Pastor sees fit.
Supervision Received:
Reports directly to the Kids Ministry Pastor and the PreK Ministry Pastor. Employee must seek authorization for broad scope of tasks.
Scope & Dimensions:
Interacts with all staff, volunteers, and children to create a relevant, fun, and engaging experience. Maintains a welcoming and inviting environment. Upholds policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Events: Execute events of various sizes in such a way that honors the culture and the mission of EastLake Kids. Taking direction from the Kids Ministry Pastor to execute the vision. Carries a strong emphasis on multi-tasking and can proactively see details with extreme ownership.
- Communication: Communicates with those they are working closely with, as well as around the organizational chart and external vendors.
- Support: Is readily available during service experiences on Thursdays and Sundays.
- Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a ministry team of volunteers.
- Policies and Procedures: Ensure all Eastlake Kids Ministry Policies and Procedures are followed and can guide Leaders as needed.
- Discipleship: Provide care for volunteer leaders and families as needed to maintain a healthy relational partnership.
- Administrative: Maintain notes and plans that are well-documented and organized for future reference and planning. Also, Maintains a record of all vendor contact information and their COI and W9’s.
- Budget: Has the ability to manage budget and spending.
- Set-up and Tear-down: As assigned.
- Assist: Other assigned responsibilities.
Experience And Educational Requirements:
- Technical Skills: Google Documents/Spreadsheets, PowerPoint and Google Calendar.
- Canva/Other Visual Marketing applications.
- General audio/visual knowledge
- Two years of experience in a related environment is preferred.
- CPR/First-Aid Certification preferred.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Additional duties as assigned.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Mobile – In and out of office to ensure task completion.
- Overtime hours as required by ministry needs.
- Church staff is required to abide by the Cultural Expectations (tithe, attendance, conduct, etc.).

- This position is classified by the Church as a PART-TIME paid position and is non-exempt from the overtime provisions, as stated in the Employee Handbook.
