Chula Vista Facilities Coordinator

In this hands-on role, you’ll work closely with our Facility Manager to care for the property and ensure it remains an inviting, purposeful environment that reflects the mission and vision of our church. From coordinating facility systems to supporting ministry events, your efforts will help make our campus a place where people can connect, grow, and experience God.

Status: Part-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt

Reports to: Chula Vista Facility Manager
Level: $18/hr

Hours:
  • (Phase One) Primarily Monday - Friday, 11AM - 5PM, with possible additional hours or shifting hours to evenings and weekends. 
  • (Phase Two; Fall of 2025) Primarily Monday - Friday, 8AM - 12PM, with possible additional hours or shifting hours to evenings and weekends.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Reports to Chula Vista Facility Manager. Will need to seek guidance from the Chula Vista Facility Manager to help manage, execute, and organize a broad scope of events, projects, and repairs. In addition, this role works with Associate Location Pastor and Property Specialist.

SCOPE & DIMENSIONS:

This role focuses on 3 areas for the Chula Vista campus: (1) maintenance, (2) organizing and executing ministry schedule demands and the various tasks this involves, and (3) helping care for needs and problems on campus. This includes supporting the Ministry Calendar and Monday-Friday preschool needs. This also includes a great deal of problem solving.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and help own the ongoing ministry set up needs.
  • Assist with solving church property and preschool repairs and maintenance. 
  • Being ready and capable to solve various facilities challenges and problems that arise.  
  • Capable of giving instruction and oversight to other part time Facilities Team members with the guidance and instruction of Chula Vista Facility Manager. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with common office software, facility scheduling tools, and digital communication platforms.
  • Solid administrative and organizational management skills, including document handling, scheduling, and task tracking.
  • Ability to multitask a wide variety of details at the same time. 
  • Ability to proactively identify and solve problems with a posture of extreme ownership.
  • Ability to self-lead efficiently and effectively. 
  • Ability to plan and execute a workflow of personnel and calendared ministry activities.  
  • Ability to communicate clearly with those up, down, and all around the organizational chart in a collaborative, organized, respectful, and clear way. 

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Some flex (as agreed upon by supervisor, but primarily on site during work hours. 
  2. Work space, computer, and other resources as needed
  3. Church staff is required to abide by the Cultural Expectations (tithe, attendance, conduct, etc.)
  4. Basic maintenance skills required to ensure the property is in good working order (basic plumbing, handiwork, machinery operation, etc)

  • As a staff person at Eastlake Community Church, I agree to abide by all the provisions of the Employee Handbook.
  • The Church reserves the right, at any time, with or without notice, to alter or change job responsibilities, reassign or transfer job positions, or assign additional job responsibilities.
  • This position is classified by the Church as a Part-Time paid position and is Non-Exempt from the overtime provisions, as stated in Employee Handbook.
